Visit to Onion and Spinach Farm

On February 5-6, 2025, we visited an onion farm, where the soil treated with Arktivate showed a significant increase in pH from 3-3.5 to 6.5-7. We will evaluate the results after 40 days at harvest.

The next day, at Mr. H. Rahmat's spinach farm in Mekarjaya Village, Garut, excessive use of chemical fertilizers had reduced yields. The Arktivate team, along with Jeremy, Bio Ark's CTO, gave a demonstration of the correct application. We applied Arktivate to 10 rows of plants, hoping to improve soil pH and yield productivity.

On 19 December 2024, the Arktivate team visited Pak Deden, a coffee entrepreneur in Garut who owns a 50-hectare coffee plantation and a popular coffee shop. He cultivates various types of coffee beans, two of which are exported to Japan. Faced with declining yields due to soil that had long used chemical fertilizers, Pak Deden turned to Arktivate to sustainably restore soil fertility. With new crops already planted, he expects results within a month. We are committed to supporting his journey towards sustainable coffee cultivation.

On December 17, 2024, we held a productive meeting with the Hotel and Restaurant Association to discuss the pressing challenges of waste management in Bandung. The discussion focused on finding sustainable alternatives to replace landfills that are neither environmentally nor economically sound. Bandung generates 800 tons of organic waste every day, highlighting the urgent need for a solution. Bio Ark is committed to transforming this waste into highly nutritious inputs for landscapes and agriculture, using the waste as the base material for our fertilizers, thus creating a sustainable circular economy for the city.

On Tuesday, 17 December 2024, a socialization event was held at the office of the head of Jagabaya village, Cimaung sub-district, Bandung district. The event was attended by 30 farmers who grow various crops such as cucumber, yam, rice, and chili. Most of the farmers own 2-5 hectares of land and currently rely on 3-4 types of chemical fertilizers to maintain yields in soil that is no longer fertile. Verification and Cooperation with BPSI, Ministry of Agriculture.

On 17 December 2024, the Arktivate team visited BPSI, a research center of the Ministry of Agriculture, to review the demonstration trials. Arktivate showed promising results on lettuce plants, producing heavier, darker, and thicker leaves compared to chemical fertilizers. Based on this success, Arktivate is working with BPSI and the New Zealand Ministry to trial onion cultivation, which has historically been difficult in Indonesia. The trial will begin in two weeks, with results expected in four months.

Harvest Time at Ir. Siswoyo's Sweet Potato Farm

This is Part 2, which concludes the harvest. Mr. Siswoyo, former Head of PPPPTK Pertanian, demonstrated the success of sweet potato harvests using Arktivate. Each plant produced 5-7 tubers, compared to 3-4 with chemical fertilizers, an increase of 40-50%. The sweet potatoes have smoother skin with an export rejection rate of only 5%. The soil enriched with Arktivate is more moist and easier to cultivate, resulting in a smoother harvest process. On December 14, our staff, Reza, organized an exciting event in Leuwiliang Village, Pasirjambu District. Farmers who purchased 10 kg of Arktivate received tickets for a fishing competition, which was attended by 50 farmers from Ciwidey, Pasirjambu, Rancabali and Soreang. With 100 kg of fish released, the event was a huge success, receiving positive feedback on the effectiveness of Arktivate.
